Nowadays people think that the disaster management and relief is only the duty of NDRF and army. Awareness should be created against this notion. A common Langar/community food and drinking water supplies can be organised by the youth. This can be done under a common banner say NSS students or some form of forum can be created under NDMA so that this can be done in a organised matter

आपदाओ से पीडीत घायल लोगो को अस्पताल पहुचाना और अस्पताल मे घायलो की सेवा करने का काम युवान कर सकते है। आपदाओ से पीडीत लोगो के लिए खाने पीने की व्यवस्था और रहने के लिए टेन्ट लगाकर, युवान लोगो की मदद कर सकते है। आपदाओ के समय प्रशासन के द्रारा दी जानेवाली जानकारी लोगो तक पहुचाने में और लोगो को अफवाओ से सावधान करने में युवान अपनी भूमिका अदा कर सकते है।

spread information. every week govt should give info advertisements regarding different situations such as building on fire. everyone should be aware of BLS skills. better reporting of small incidences as such incidences could have been worse.people should be well aware of emergency numbers and basic first aid skills.

We have to make people aware of disaster management. for this can be helped by of school going and college going students,,in school there should be an subject on disaster mangement. Today its it but just an science book chapter..It should just not be an just science chapter students shpould have "mockdrills" in schools should know how to help their peoples and themselves in time of Earthquake or any othe disaster.

Youth can play a pivotal role in assisting the oblivious like helping out old people and the physically challenged people in learning the various aspects of emergencies and reduce the vulnerability of a situation or lessen the impact. Students from CBSE schools can organize awareness programmes to the remote places where there is insufficient exposure,and make people become better prepared for disasters , since NCERT issues a text on Disaster management in Class 10.So its a win-win situation..

Contd.Sir youth should know:the key personnel or specialists related to disaster management and associate them with the types of disasters and phases in which they are useful.They should be taught response involves actions to savelives & reduce suffering,search & rescue,first aid,medical assistance &restoration of emergency communication disasters,evacuation from areas vulnerable to further disaster events.This learning in groups will teach how to work in grups & training to be taken by NDMA

Sir We have to make people aware of pre-disaster and post-disaster activities and for this Residents should be invoved and make to understandobjectives of the disaster manager: Know the key personnel or specialists related to disaster management and associate them with the types of disasters and phases in which they are useful.Understand the six elements of disaster management.Identify the major disaster types.Understand the "relief system" and the "disaster victim."

From the pictures posted above we can see that our fire fighters are not wearing any fire protection, more so it seems that they are wearing half sleeve shirts. They should be provided with appropriate fire fighting gear as is the norm in developed countries considering the hazardous conditions under which they work. First we should protect the protector.

I am attaching a document which shows a disaster management vehicle with all kinds of connectivity. I have implemented this out of India and we should also try to implement this here as well. This vehicle provides connectivity through satellite, GSM/CDMA/LTE, Wi-Fi, VoIP, video conferencing to first responders and observers at a different location. This can help our Prime Minister to monitor progress at a disaster site on real time basis from his office.
