पुदूशेरी नगर पालिका स्मार्ट सिटी चुनौती के लिए एक प्रस्ताव बना रही है जिसमें शहर भर के लिए स्मार्ट समाधान और इनको लागू करने के लिए शहर में विभिन्न स्थानों की पहचान शामिल होगी।

प्रस्ताव का मुख्य आधार पुदूशेरी के निवासियों की आवाज़ होगी। इस विषय में लोगों के विचारों और चिंताओं का लिखित रूप तैयार करने के लिए पुदूशेरी नगर पालिका ने एक बड़ा नागरिक मेलजोल कार्यक्रम बनाया है।

लोग विभिन्न सार्वजानिक सेवाओं जैसे यातायात, पार्किंग, जल आपूर्ति, पर्यटन, स्वच्छता, ऊर्जा, गृह निर्माण, आईटी समाधान, स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा एवम सुरक्षा के विषय में अपने विचार पोस्ट कर सकते हैं। पुदूशेरी के सामने आने वाले शहरी मसलों पर आपके द्वारा दिए गए विचारों, सुझावों और समाधानों से न केवल एक बेहतर कल बनेगा, इनसे पुदूशेरी सेवाओं में अधिकतम कुशलता के साथ स्मार्ट टैग प्राप्त कर लेगी।

पुदूशेरी के नागरिक इसकी सबसे बड़ी शक्ति हैं। आइये हम इस प्रस्ताव को हर आम आदमी, हर नागरिक के लिए लाभदायक और अर्थपूर्ण बनाने में भागीदार बनें।

In our country,we don't have proper sanitation facility. Especially public toilets.There are no sufficient public toilets in any part of our country. And even the available toilets are maintained in a poor condition.Hence people are hesitating to use public toilets. I am not sure it will work or not. Govt should check for the feasibility of cleaning public toilets with prisoners. This will serve two purpose.It will be a kind of punishment for wrong doers and govt can provide clean public toilet.

Ayurveda is more or less considered something like spa treatment in the territory. Being a qualified clinician and faculty of the only Ayurveda Medical College in Mahe, Puducherry, I feel that this happens because of improper treatmentd ecision making standards adopted by physicians and irrational prescribing.Public awareness programmes and medical camps of Evidence Based Ayurveda is to be initiated urgently.

Waste management could be a phased approach - In phase 1, we could install the DIY kits for BioGas across a spectrum of potential waste generating areas be it - individual residences, large apartment complexes, community areas, marriage halls & even IT parks & Institutions with large self-run kitchens. In the phase 2, we could consider setting up of a plant to treat Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) using a Hydro Mechanical process, to recover recyclables & produce renewable energy.

Puducherry suffers from the problem of narrow roads and lanes and heavy traffic. This is worse during weekend evenings when a lot of tourists visit the city and locals go shopping. Having more shopping areas and facilities in Oulgaret district and Karuvadikuppam /Lawspet areas and also Bahour/ Villianur etc will help decongest the city. Improving the government bus services will be a good idea. There is need to improve the drainage system and have closed drainage system everywhere.

Puducherry is one of the clean city in India Must connect Chennai with Electric Rail which will help people to Travel easier Puducherry Airport must open permanently to have International Airport Plenty of International Travelers are coming to Puducherry from France and all Europe but they are not able travel from Puducherry because with out Air services in Puducherry also City must have sea way connection from Chennai Good medium passengers ships to develop Indian Tourism

Road and Public transport facility to Auroville and Auroville beach in Puducherry should be improved as there is very few buses goes to Auroville and there is no proper road to Auroville beach where more foreign tourist visits often. Security measures to be improved in this areas as many of the foreigners who comes to Auroville beach are some times teased by the local drunkards and some local youths.Safety and security is largely affected in this area.

Respected Honourable Prime Minister, For local Transportation please use the Electric bus,as Puducherry is having a relatively smaller area of 496 sq.Km. Please try to setup a power plant in Puducherry which will significantly improves the industrial investment in this area. Please provide more attention on Foreign tourist by arranging separate busses with government tourist guide with hygienic food and accommodation, as i have seen many foreign tourists are being cheated.
