I want to bring about the plight of kids who were born abroad and had to take that country's citizenship by birth (ex: USA) and then move back to India with parents. They do not seem to have a good path for higher education (PU, Undergrad, PostGrad) although they undergo high school in India. Could policies be created to treat them as locals if they have OCI and undergo high school education in India?

One thing is for sure that the children of UP are going to get atleast one job for sure that is of watchman or conductor....is this colour suits this blooming children? Employing the candidates on temporary basis at low pay scale doesn't fetch the intellectuals to the universities. At the very beginning itself, efforts must be made to establish an education system highly emphasising on creative thinking approach. Quality education to nurture values at the core. Developing an education system which makes students THINK, rather than CRAME. There will be a big role of leadership. Hope to witness a revolution under NaMo's leadership !!!

Concept of Deemed Universities should be abolished in whole of the country. Many of the deemed universities have their own standards which are neither conducive to education system nor to the growth of the students. Private Universities are still have their own educational standards and admission procedures. Many private Universities are controlled by the non-academicians whose sole purpose is to earn money and not name for the educational institution.

Whenever a recruitment for any academic post is made, the aim should be not to file up only the post but to keep recruits involved as and that can be done by keeping their motivation high by incentives or otherwise and when they do not perform they should be respectfully shouldered off or they should be given non academic duties but at no cost academic standards should be lowered for the benefit of the individual even if it costs very high to the exchequer.

We have a few things missing in our state universities: 1) There is a pressing need to ensure that lecturers in our state universities develop by being encouraged to conduct research and write. Research Grants/Fellowships and other forms of assistance need to be re-activated. One way of doing this is to ensure that faculty pay scales and promotions are attached to the number of publications in the form of peer-reviewed journals/ books or the research fellowships or awards they have received.

UGC should set up should set up model colleges/institutions in each discipline and set up at least four regional centers and ask all the Universities in that region to bring all the colleges affiliated with them to the level of colleges/institutions in the UGC Model Centres in all respect of academics as well as facilities and faculties.These model colleges/institutions should be real models not just by name and stringent measure be adopted to retain that quality of education.
