Hi, I was thinking recently how can we improve railways without increasing the price of ticket. Here is what I thought would change the railways. we have about 115,000 km of railway track in India all the space above the line is wasted how about installing solar panels above all the tracks it will not occupy any extra space and you will not need to spend on electricity anymore it is just onetime investment and if we can make it ingenious project we can employ lot of people.

Man cannot create species. Man cannot create environment. Man cannot create Rain. Man cannot create natural water. SO PRESERVE IT. NEVER GIVE PERMISSION TO ANY PROJECTS WHICH DESTROYS THE NATURE, WATER RESOURCES, SPECIES, FORESTS. we can make electricity via various means. We don't need to destroy thousands of acres of forest for that. We can produce minerals and metals from many areas which are ecologically not so sensitive. Do not destroy forests like western ghats.

Make it compulsory for any commercial project in urban areas to be allowed permission if they pledge to contribute to the nature in any of the programs(SOLAR POWER/WIND POWER/RAIN WATER HARVESTING..ETC) listed by the government... Minimum 70 percent land area to be left for TREE PLANTATION and ORGANIC FARMING...

The waste management systems in towns/cities should focus on generating energy from them. More than 50% of the household waste in India is bio-waste which could be used to generate electricity. This would possibly help in solving waste disposal problem also. A lot of revenue can be generated by selling this waste to companies who deal in this power generation and will help eliminate the expenditure on collection of the waste and the scandals involved.

Why not have rooftop solar plants so that the space beneath can be used for something else like food storage or parking lot or indoor stadiums. I recently read about some 5400 acres of land being used for solar project. If it was a roof-top plant, then the space beneath could have been for other useful purpose..
