आईआईएसएफ 2021 का विवरण

इंडिया इंटरनेशनल साइंस फेस्टिवल (IISF), विज्ञान भारती के सहयोग के साथ विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय एवं पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय की एक पहल है, जो कि देश के उत्कृष्ट वैज्ञानिकों के नेतृत्व में विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में स्वदेशी भावना को आगे बढ़ाने का आंदोलन है।

IISF का मुख्य उद्देश्य विज्ञान का उत्सव मनाना है। स्वस्थ, समृद्ध और सार्थक जीवन के लिए आम नागरिकों को विज्ञान के साथ आनंदमय और मनोरंजक तरीके से जोड़ना आवश्यक है। अपने रचनात्मक कार्यक्रम और गतिविधियों के माध्यम से IISF, भारत एवं विश्व भर के लोगों को और वैज्ञानिक समुदाय को एक साथ आने और मानवता की भलाई के लिए विज्ञान के प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए अवसर प्रदान करता है।

समृद्ध भारत के लिए विज्ञान, प्रौद्योगिकी और नवाचार में रचनात्मकता को बढ़ावा देना है।

आईआईएसएफ का उद्देश्य

आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव के पांच स्तंभों से जुड़े विभिन्न कार्यक्रम और गतिविधियों के माध्यम से विज्ञान की उपलब्धियों का जश्न मनाने के लिए भारत और दुनिया भर के रचनात्मक लोगों को शामिल करना है।

In healthcare pharmaceuticals, medical device and other research, animal testing is being done to assess biocompatibility. Recent research has shown falsification of animal testing, as such the medicines which worked in animals did not work in humans and viceversa. It would be good if the regulatory bodies start inclusive of transition to reduce animal testing by using methods like molecular docking, microdosing to humans, lab on a chip etc.

Science should not have strict divisions like Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science while being taught in schools, i.e. at implementation levels. Students should not be afraid of writing pages and pages of record notes when it is a lab session. They should enjoy as well as understand the experiments. Science should be a key link in a student's life to connect natural phenomena with his own personal choices/interests rather than concentrating on mugging up the complex structures of Carbon compounds or the diversity in the administration of cell, by cell organelles or by-hearting formulae and practicing numerical problems on Resistance and Voltage, etc. The Fun of Science should be experienced by every student who attends the school.

Science is more about understanding than memorization. Students should be encouraged to be creative about science rather than just memorizing the textbooks. According to famous phycisist Richard Feynman , the schools are not promoting students to understand Science , but only making them to memorize what's given in the textbook. The Science should become more interesting for students rather than becoming a feary Subject for them.

Respected Sir Science is just not restricted as a ‘Subject of Research’ but has various facets which is needed to be celebrated and thus, in order to celebrate Science in its true spirit, the India International Science Festival (IISF) is conducted every year to provide opportunities to people and scientific fraternity in the country to connect and work together for a prosperous India. Science should not be taught, that makes it teacher-centred. Instead, its learning should be made learner-centered that allows science to be first discovered/ explored/ experimented/ experienced/ appreciated, and that should arouse curiosity in the learner to dive deeper and connect with facts. The joy of finding something cannot be matched by a lecture. The (experiential) learning so acquired remains etched for a long time than what has been heard/ read in classroom and also, it immensely boosts the confidence of a learner. A learner who has not understood, during the examination.
