During the month of Malayalam month karkkidakam (जुलाई आगस्त) hindu houses in Kerala read athyatmaramayana written by Thunchathu Ramanujan Ezhuthachan who is considered as the father of Malayalam language. During this month there used to be continuous monsoon rain and people are constrained to be in their houses. Now things have changed.
