Bihar Sharif is participating in the fourth round of the smart city challenge, it is already well established that citizen participation is one of the most important component of the smart city project and to strengthen the proposal for Smart City Bihar Sharif. It is now imperative that the citizen participation is overwhelming. Extensive citizens engagement initiatives through online and offline communication has been undertaken earlier to get feedback and citizens participation.

In a bid to gather the opinion of the people this is an open discussion where the citizens of Bihar Sharif are requested to give their feedback to strengthen Smart City Proposal submitted in Round III as well as suggestions for Smart City Proposal to be submitted in Round IV.

Last date of submission is 29th September, 2017.

"Proper Bus stops shall built in accordance with Green Building Concept, powered by Solar energy. These must be designed to protect people from both Sun heat radiation and heavy Rainfall. *The bus route Map of City has to be made an integral part of it and should long last for atleast 10 years by design and material."

"A city has no existence without cleanliness and a great infrastructure. For using energy more wisely a city can do Smart electric meter which is connected to utility company as well as user's computer. Using bicycle, electric vehicles and infrastructure who support them. For clean and green energy, we must depend on clean and renewable energy (plant solar panel in public area such as Park, police station, bus stand etc.) Make bio-gas plant because we have so much cow's dung in cities."

"Sports and recreation related suggestions: 1) Develop sports complexes at various locations within city for jogging, playing table tennis, lawn tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming etc. at minimal membership costs 2) Develop parks at various locations within city for walking, family outdoor activities and picnics etc."
