Our city “Haldia” has been selected for participating in ROUND-2 challenge under Smart City Mission. Presently we are in the process of revising the Smart City Proposal. Therefore your valuable suggestions are solicited to revise the Smart City Proposal of Haldia City and gear up for the Round-2 challenge.

After a lot of deliberation among Haldia Municipality officials, the citizens of Haldia and various stakeholders, during Citizen’s Engagement Round - 1, Smart City Proposal for Haldia was developed and it included various components like:
1. City Vision and Goals
2. Strategic Plan
3. Pan City Proposal
4. Area Based Development

In Round 2, based on suggestions by Ministry of Urban Development, Govt. of India, Haldia Municipality was advised to examine and revise the earlier proposal through identification of the gaps, therefore while doing so, certain changes/modifications in the Smart City Proposal Document have been done to upgrade the same and a guiding document of the same is being uploaded herewith inviting comments and suggestions of all concerned Citizens and Stakeholders of Haldia City through posting their remarks/feedback on the discussion thread.
So, now we invite all citizens of Haldia to participate in this review process where they can share their suggestions to help Haldia Municipality reformulate the Smart City Proposal for participating in Smart City Mission Round-2 challenge. The links of required documents have been provided underneath. Please provide your suggestion / feedback latest by 10th May, 2016.
