Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation has been ranked first among 12 cities selected for implementing Smart City project in Tamil Nadu and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Tiruchirappalli are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security. Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutionsin Tiruchirappalli.

Let us join hands together in making Tiruchirappalli a global Smart City!

6. Provide proper parking for vehicles in N.S.b road side areas. 7. Make utilize of govt waste land for some useful measure for govt & for public (i.e: built some commercial complex with good infrastructure and give for rent from that for both govt & public get use) 8.In trichy there is no walking zones or parks to use there leisure times so make some eco-friendly parks ,botanical gardens....etc.. 9. Make some sub ways in important roads public get suffer to cross the roads.

1.Make proper under ground drainage system for all areas. 2.Make trichy free from slum areas. 3.Provide continous drinking water for all areas. 4.Maintain proper roads in all small streets. Nearly about from 2005 there is no proper road in renganagar 3Rd mainroad (k.k.nagar)and it surrounding areas till now. 5.Provide proper rain water drainage system in roads.In thillainagar trichy's main area in that also there no proper drain system there is a stagnation of rain water.

12.Integrated parking system in main areas and seperate parking areas in all areas. 13.Should start automoble companies and IT companies ,Electrical & Electronics companies like in chennai.Giving job for the youngsters in trichy instead they go to chennai,bengaluru etc.. 14.Should protect and improve agriculture in our city. 15.Improve the tourist places and temples and make some shopping malls good.

1.Designated parking areas so that people don't park their vehicles on the roadside 2.Need direct trains from trichy to north india. 3.Save cauvery river and riverside area. 4.Need integrated bus terminal,to access easily from all areas. 5.Need integrated market in trichy. 6.A good drainage in all areas. 7.Put solar street light in all areas. 8.Improve the runway of airport. 9.Save rain water and all rivers & Lake. 10.Ban plastic. 11.Need a wide and broad range road.

1.Encourage the use of renewable energy - By giving subsidies in housing sector. 2.Smart water network can pinpoint leaks and theft. 3.Install the latest generation of LED lighting in street lights - which makes big savings in energy costs. 4.By feeding current and past crime statistics into system, we can predict where crime is most likely to occur.

1) Protect Cauvery River banks from sand smuggling gangs 2) Every Houses built in city should have Rain water segregation tank 3) Ban Plastic in Trichy 4) Bring in Automobile Production plants like BMW and IT companies like TCS,CTS,Accenture,Wipro,Tech Mahindra,HCL, for giving employment to youngsters. 5) Better Domestic flight connections from Trichy to Mumbai , New Delhi , Bangalore and Kolkata 6) Protect Agriculture . Trichy is good region for banana cultivation and Encourage Farmers.

The following are the immediate need for this City. 1.Expansion of Int'l. Airport runway lenghth to 12000 ft. So that big aircrafts can land Tiruchirappali without any hassle. 2.Integrated Combined Bus Terminal in the city.Preferably in Mannarpuram area. Where there is lot of defence land is vacant in the heart of the city. 3.Encroachments in the city should be immediately removed. 4.Cauvery Drinking water should be provided in all areas. 5.Underground Drainage in all areas. 6.CCTV cameras
