Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation has been ranked first among 12 cities selected for implementing Smart City project in Tamil Nadu and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Tiruchirappalli are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security. Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutionsin Tiruchirappalli.

Let us join hands together in making Tiruchirappalli a global Smart City!

Introduction of smart parking facilities in Railway Junction, Bus Stand, Airport, NSB Road, MG Gate, Thillai Nagar where the most commercial establishments are located and finding difficult for parking space.. Introduction of boating services from Allur to Butterfly park.. Connecting the Srirangam station with Fort station and thereby introducing MRTS in city.. Mono/Metro rail is an alternative for city..

channels crisscrossing Trichy has to be cleaned along with cauvery river.. Steps to be taken for avoiding mixture of medical wastes, solid wastes into the river.. Stringent action to be taken if any one violates and cause for the mixture of wastes with river.. Roads to be relaid and speed sensors to be fixed at important spots to check the vehicular traffic in city limits.. #SmartCity #Tiruchirappalli

7)Compulsory solar panels in every house (with subsidy) 8)No vehicular movement around the Theppakulam ( Like Meenakshi Amman Temple) 9)Cleaning of Theppakulam and resuming boating in the evenings. 10)Setting up and maintaining of more Namma Toilets. 11)Formation of a separate transport body for Trichy with new buses ,modern bus shelters and gaining ownership of bus stands(like in KA) 12)Mono Rail along important routes that buses don't serve. 13)Improved CCTV coverage in public places

First, let us take pride to live in the cleanest city of TN! To completely become a smart city, these I feel are the developments #Trichy needs: 1)Establishment of an Int.Bus Stand(Panjapur) 2)Tree lined Boulevards with neat pavements(Eg. Thillainagar Main Road) 3)Rain Water Harvesting 4)Direct Flight connectivity to Mumbai Bangalore and Delhi and more trains orig.at Trichy;Restoration of Pallavan Exp. 5)Eradicating private buses and introducing AC buses. 6)Efforts to develop IT

1) While weekends getting bus to Chennai is difficult so please extend the bus stand. 2) I'm in Chennai now, there water is a biggest problem but our city doesn't have that problem to prevent that we have to do two things which are mandatory: i)Rainwater harvesting is important ii) we reqeust each and every family on our city to plant atleast two trees in there home.

Is TIRUCHCHIRAPPALLI fit to be smart city? Do we have any capable leaders to implement the Plan? Do we have any religiously dedicated government officials to implement the Plan? All politicians and government officials are trying to pocket in heavy amounts in the name of "SMART CITY" and pollute the city with municipal waste in Ariyamangalam area.There must be cleaning of whole administrators / employees before the plan start. Just giving consulation for JLL is not sufficient.

Smart city tiruchchirappalli,FREE WIFI bad idea for a start of smart city. People / citizens just use to download movies and songs with use of FREE WIFI. Suggestions for smart city are as 1.Implement and enact (Impose fines and penalise if required)rules and Laws in religiously truthful manner. 2. Make Smart City as Design,Build and Operate (PP partnership)methodology with no interference of government body. Guidelines to be laid with involvement of public.
