The Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC), U.T, Chandigarh has taken serious cognizance of the increasing pollution levels in the airs of the city. Pollution occurs in many forms including Air, Water, Soil & Noise pollution.

The CPCC has expressed serious concern over the contamination of the overall environment as the sources of pollution don't simply have a negative impact on the natural world, but also have a measurable effect on the health of human beings also.

In this direction, the Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee has decided to engage the citizens of the city for their invaluable suggestions/ideas/opinions/practical solutions to put a check on increasing levels of all types of pollution in Chandigarh.

The CPCC hereby appeals to the city residents to participate in huge number in order to equip the CPCC with more and more innovative and practical solutions/ideas (which are implementable) to curb the problems arising out of different kind of pollution.

There is no better method than planting trees to control pollution so it should be compulsory for all government building , CBSE schoold, university to have trees along the boundary of the campus. encourage terrace farming/gardening to people living in cities. constriction of an acre of natural pathway with many trees in every 10 km where citizen can do exercise with in take of fresh air.

प्रदूषण कम करने हेतु सरकार को एक कदम उठीने चाहिए कि अगर कोई भी व्यक्ति वाहन खरीदता हैं तो उसे एक पेढ़(वृक्ष) लगाना अनिवार्य हो तभी उसके वाहन का रजिस्ट्रेशन हो पायेगा जिससे की पर्यावरण भी संतुलित रहेगा एंव वातावरण स्वच्छ बने रहेगा । एक कोशिश कामयाबी बढ़ सकती हैं अगर हम एंव सरकार दोनो मिलकर करे। स्वचछ भारत सुन्दर छत्तीसगढ़ सत्समेव जयते

1. Public transport buses to be made electric OR CNG. 2. Strict polythene ban 3. Diesel auto rickshaws ban and promote electric auto rickshaws 4. All taxi to be CNG/lpg 5. Fix number of four wheeler registration every year like 1000 etc. 6. Planting creepers in buildings give etc. 7. All schools having kitchen gardens for residents nearby. 8. Link up with college for students to come on cycles.

Secondly, switch to eco-friendly modes of transport like bicycles. To encourage people to use bicycles, the cities must have separate lanes just for bicyclers. Since this lane will have less traffic and will be solely for bicyclers, people over time will switch to bicycles. In Europe many cities already have a separate lane solely for this purpose.

The intention of Govt. to devlop the city is noble, for that, deep planning should be made, we have experienced that, the road prepared good, but, it is digged, time to time for various purpose like, water line, drainage line,telephone,gas line,electricity line, etc.after preparing it breaked, it will waste so many time,money and energy, It should be well planned at the corner of road to provide on multi purpose pipeline, in which all types of connection or pipeline can be passed without diging

7.FUEL SOURCE LIKE BIO GAS SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED BY HELPING PEOPLE TO START THAT.8.I CAME TO KNOW THAT GAS FOR HOME USE CAN BE PRODUCED FROM THE ORGANIC GARBAGE LIKE VEGETABLES LEAVES ETC.IF THAT CAN BE MADE AVAILABLE AND USABLE BY PUBLIC THEN WE CAN NOT ONLY REDUCE POLLUTION BUT ALSO SAVE MONEY AND USE SOURCES PRODUCTIVELY.

1.PLANT MORE TREES. 2.IF WE CAN BRING THE VEHICLES RUN BY BIO GAS INTO EXISTENCE THEN NOT ONLY THE POLLUTION PROBLEM IN BHARAT WILL BE SOLVED ,WE CAN HELP THE GROWTH OF ORGANIC LIVING IN OUR COUNTRY.3.ALSO WE CAN DECREASE THE USE OF PETROL ETC,AND PREVENT POLLUTION.4.EVERY HOUSE SHOULD HAVE A TREE AND EVERY BUILDING OF APARTMENTS SHOULD HAVE MORE TREES AND SPACE TO GIVE WAY TO WATER HARVESTING.5.FELLING OF TREES FOR ROADS SHOULD BE BANNED.6.PEOPLE MUST BE MADE TO FOLLOW TRAFFIC RULES STRICTLY.
