Continuing with my previous post for creation of a waste management department under the ministry of environment, I would like to request you to formulate certain guidelines for packaging. If a company is packing its products in plastic, it must declare to the government about no of such packets released to market and the recall plan. Every product MRP should have a portion of its price as the packet/ box return price which the company must pay to its Customers for returning them through the retailer. By this way we can reduce/reuse/recycle most of such products which come in plastic containers such as mineral water, engine oil, soft drinks, medicine, etc. Burning of waste is creating poisonous gases causing damage to the atmosphere. 3. खूबसूरत टूरिस्ट डेस्टिनेशन- अगर मैं बात करूं यहां कि खूबसूरती की तो ये जगह बहुत ही ज्यादा खूबसूरत है और Mawlynnong में झरना, ट्रेक, लिविंग रूट ब्रिज, Dawki नदी बहुत ही चर्चित हैं। नदी का पानी इतना साफ है कि यहां नाव भी अगर चलती है तो ऐसा लगता है कि वो पानी में नहीं चल रही बल्कि हवा में उड़ रही हो। एडवेंचर टूरिज्म के लिए भी ये बहुत खास जगह है। स्काई व्यू भी एक खूबसूरत पिकनिक स्पॉट है यहां। ये गांव भारत-बंगलादेश बॉर्डर पर स्थित है और यहां बहुत ही अच्छे व्यू मिल जाएंगे देखने के लिए। इसी के साथ यहां की एंट्री टिकट बस 10 रुपए प्रति व्यक्ति है। यहां प्रकृतिक सुंदरता भी बहुत है।

In very short, I would like to request you to look into a very serious issue of waste management in our country. Your Swachh Bharat mission, unfortunately I find, is fully out of track as people don't know what to do with waste after collecting them in a bin. Today, most of the waste collected is plastic or polyethylene packets of consumer products and ultimately are burnt by people in the absence of a credible waste management policy of either the central or state governments. People find no other way to dispose off the daily waste, and put them on blazes. I request to form a statutory body for waste management under the ministry of Environment which would look after solely the waste management system and formulate guidelines in this regard. It's high time, that the waste management department must come out with an echo friendly packing policy for consumer durables. Jay Hind.

1. साफ सफाई और 0 प्लास्टिक का इस्तेमाल- ये बात आपने सुनी होगी कि भारत में 2 अक्टूबर 2019 यानि गांधी जयंतीसे सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक अब इस्तेमाल नहीं हो रही है। इसमें 6 तरह का सामान है जो बैन हो रहा है। इस खबर से Mawlynnong के लोगों को कोई समस्या नहीं हुई होगी क्योंकि यहां वैसे भी प्लास्टिक का इस्तेमाल नहीं होता है। यहां लोग अपने आस-पास बांस की बनी हुई डस्टबीन का इस्तेमाल करते हैं। सामान ले जाने के लिए कपड़ों से बने थैलों का इस्तेमाल करते हैं और साथ ही साथ अगर किसी टूरिस्ट ने कुछ फेंक दिया है तो लोग खुद ही सफाई करते हैं। यहां बच्चे भी इस बात का ध्यान रखते हैं कि यहां किसी भी तरह का कचरा नहीं फेंकना है।

Honorable Prime Minister sir I would like to bring to your kind notice about an extraordinary learning effort of an octogenarian living in Hyderabad, Telangana. The name of this elderly person is Sri N. Venkat Reddy, who has built an astonishing English vocabulary of 6, 000 words in the last 3 years. His journey with English words started quite accidentally three years ago. He commenced writing the meanings and synonyms of difficult words in a note book while reading English newspapers by immediately referring to a dictionary. What started as a simple exercise today it reached mammoth proportions. It gained momentum during the Covid-19 lockdown period. During that turbulent time his sons, relatives and friends, who are his regular visitors , could not meet him due to restrictions. Sri Venkat Reddy converted this anxious and stress situation into an opportunity and read more extensively. He read not only newspapers but also some popular books daily for 6 to 8 hours and learnt new words.
