It is welcome that the Election Commission of India makes arrangements to vote in the elections in their state from the state where they are working. Work and business family regular migrant workers should be given adequate political representation in the state where they work.Adequate representation in state legislatures and local bodies is essential. The grievances of migrant workers who live with their families for long periods of time are often not addressed.Welfare rights of migrant workers developed It is not observed properly even in the state. Mistakes are happening even in big developed states in matters such as workplace safety, wages, health etc. Therefore workers and traders who are permanently residing in different states for work and business reasons should be represented in the legislature and local bodies. Arrangements should be made to get seats for party representatives in state legislatures and local bodies through seat reservation or appointment.
