1. There is a need to build a boundary near Gangotri glacier at a distance of 50 meters on both side. 2. Plantation must be done/ afforestation must be done in the whole area. 3. The whole glacier & surrounding area must be declared by government as a conservable area, no encroachment must be allowed there. 4. Soil erosion must be checked. 5. A team must be appointed by the Central government to visit the place periodically every month & define measures as what has to be done to conserve site.

Drawing upon the suggestions offered by visitors and locals, it highlights gaps in policies and infrastructural facilities that have resulted in serious environmental threats. The study of tourism in the Gangotri region becomes pertinent for two reasons: in the first place, it marks a shift from state aided employment opportunities to self employment by the locals.......

My humble request... please don't carry the plastic bottle, poly packs, toffee within GANGOTRI NATIONAL PARK... both the views are not imaginary, its real snap...

गढ़वाल के लोगों की गरीबी का लाभ उठा पूर्ववर्ती सरकारों खासकर कांग्रेस ने यहाँ पर अवैज्ञानिक ढंग से निर्माण कार्यों और बांधों को बना कर हमारी संस्कृति, वन, पितृ भूमि, पर्यावरण का क्षय और पहाड़ों को कमजोर कर दिया है. और आज इसके दुष्परिणाम सपूर्ण भारतवर्ष के समक्ष है. अलकापूरी से माँ भागीरथी भगवान् शिव के जटा रूपी हिमालय में विभिन्न धाराओं में विभक्त हो देवप्रयाग में माँ गंगा का रूप धारण करती है. अत: केवल गंगोत्री या गौमुख ही नहीं अपितु सम्पूर्ण गढ़भूमि को ही विकसित करना होगा तभी माँ गंगा स्वच्छ होगी

गंगोत्री और गौमुख में जितना ज्यादा पर्यटक आएगा.. यहाँ ग्लेशियर उतनी ही तेजी से ख़तम होना शुरू हो जायेगे.. और यह स्थान वनस्पति विहीन है.. यहाँ पर वनों की संख्या भी कम है.. गंगोत्री और गौमुख में सीमित संख्या में ही पर्यटकों को भेजा जा सकता है.. पर्यटकों, वाहनों, निर्माण कार्यों का इस भू भाग पर कुप्रभाव ज्यादा होगा.. क्योंकि वन न होने से और ग्लेशियर के पिघलने से माँ भागीरथी में गाद की मात्र बढ़ जाएगी..

TOURISM POLICY NEEDS A REVIEW DEFINITION OF PILGRIM TOURISM AND ECO TOURISM SHOULD BE REVIEWED AFTER SEEING THE DEVASTATION IN KEDARNATHJI , SCOPE OF HOW ? WHERE ? WHO ? WILL DEVELOP TOURIST INFRASTRUCTURE SHOULD BE DOCUMENTED WITH CONSULTATION OF ALL STAKE HOLDERS AND IMPLEMENTED WITHOUT RED TAP-ISM. DO'S AND DON'T OF ALL ACTIVITIES OF THE VISITING PILGRIM AND TOURIST SHOULD BE LAID DOWN WITH PENAL CLAUSES ON ANY AND EVERY ACT OF OMISSION..

Gangotri glacier is melting at a fast pace because of deforestation. In case of glaciers, the surrounding mountain walls hold up and maintain the structural integrity of the glacier When there is deforestation, there is rapid erosion of walls of surrounding mountains due to rains and the glacier slumps and melts Ban on cutting trees and better implementation under environment protection act of 1986. Constitute committee under NGRBA Bring Gangotri glacier under central govt. make it heritage site

भारत सरकार से एक विनती है कि गढ़वाल और गंगा दोनों एक दुसरे के पूरक है.. त्रिहरी में तो विकास के नाम पर माँ गंगा को बाँध दिया और हमारे गाँव का क्षेत्र आज कालापानी की सजा ही भुगत रहा है.. पहाड़ धस रहे है.. माँ गंगा में मलबा ही मलबा भर रहा है.. लोगों की जान, संस्कृति, प्राक्रतिक सम्पदा की हानि हो रही है.. चिकित्सा, सड़क, आर्थिक और पर्यावरण की गंभीर समस्या जिसका अभी विगत वर्ष केदारनाथ की घटना के रूप में सबने देखा.. गंगोत्री, गौमुख, उत्तरकाशी के इलाके भूकंपीय घटनाओं का केंद्र है..
