Respected PM, A comparative study has to be made from office to office the consumption per month per employee in that building and request the higher consumptions to minimize excess usage. NTPC employee uses 48 units per month per employee and GAIL employee 480 units per month 7 years back. Energy conservation is a must for all citizen of India.

Utilize the two most important source of renewable energy - wind and solar energy. Educate people, make government employees more responsible so that laws are implemented particularly regarding setting up of solar panels if a building crosses the eligible limit set up solar panels on lamp post if possible on stadium roofs office buildings every available space and set up windmills in our rural areas where is no dearth of agricultural land Government should reach out to people to accomplish tasks

The best possible solution is to educate the public to generate their own power using non conventional energy resources like Solar, Wind (Portable). This type of infrastructure if used in a smart way can cater to the power needs of Individual household. These in-turn reduces the dependency on the Thermal power plants reducing the consumption of coal, and reducing the emissions. Government can formulate a methodology in providing carbon credits to the users.

I will use wind generated by the rails. When rail go forward the wind go back word direction, the wind speed almost equal to the rail speed. Put the pipes or curved shaped pipes on top or side top to capture the wind. These pipes will start from engine and ends at last coach. In the last coach we keep windmills and pass this air to rotate. Which then converts this wind energy to electricity. If we use this concept for all the speed trains then so much electricity can be produced.

I would start with data collection to prioritize the area on which I should focus. Suppose it is Industry which is less efficient then make BEE rating compulsary for every industry and also audit them at a regular interval. Give rewards to industry which is the most efficient, because if we put a competition then all industry will try to achieve maximum and also penalty for all those who fails.. And also for street lights we can use solar penals so that they will be energy efficient.

Use the Local Bus Transport system as much as possible. Walk or use the cycle as much as possible. Design and develop cars that can charge and store batteries during travel so that the energy can be used for basic lighting etc. at homes. Encourage installation of solar panels even in village levels. Install wind mills etc. in villages to tap wind energy. Design new buildings in towns and villages based on leed principles.
