विद्युत मंत्रालय के ऊर्जा दक्षता ब्यूरो द्वारा राष्ट्रीय ऊर्जा संरक्षण जागरूकता अभियान हेतु प्रतीक चिन्ह बनाने के लिए एक प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया है। इस राष्ट्रीय अभियान का उद्देश्य भारतीय नागरिकों को उर्जा के संरक्षण के लिए अपनाई जाने वाली सर्वश्रेष्ठ पद्धतियों और आदतों के बारे में जागरूक करना है।

प्रविष्टि भेजने की अंतिम तिथि: 5 दिसम्बर 2014

विजेता प्रविष्टियों को निम्नलिखित पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया जाएगा:

1. प्रथम पुरस्कार- रु. 25,000/-
2. द्वितीय पुरस्कार- रु. 15,000/-
3. तृतीय पुरस्कार – रु. 10,000/-

तीसरे स्थान के लिए तीन प्रविष्टियों का चयन कर प्रत्येक को रु. 10,000/- के नकद पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा।

The symbolic representation of saving energy by two hands protecting energy & resource of energy - which is water. Green round suggest our environment. So the concept of campaign is “Energy conservation reduces energy services, it can result in increased environmental quality, national security and higher savings.” It also lowers energy costs by preventing future resource depletion. Strong fonts represent the strength of the thought.

SAVE ENERGY , SAVE LIVE . SAVE ENERGY , SAVE EARTH. turn off unnecessary energy expenditure , recycle reduce reuse , switch to walk and use public transport , go green . switch to renewable source of energy like solar , wind , hydrogen , nuclear , hydro , biomass , in order to conserve the non renewable energy source . .

The hand to hand holding of the people represents the co-operation of the society or public. the bulb represents careful use of energy and wind mill inside the bulb acts as a filament and it aims maximum utilization of natural energy resource.green earth in the bottom aims the greenish existence of the nature.the use of green color aims the echo friendly energy saving methods and the color combination in the logo represents the color of our great Indian flag.

This logo for the National Awareness Campaign on Energy Conservation has been created with the fusion of two simple elements. A diya and a leaf. The diya is an easily identifiable Indian symbol which represents light, energy and joy for us Indians. The leaf stands for the environment, earth and as a symbol of life. In the logo, the flame of the diya has been replaced with a leaf motif to signify the need for us to replace our current energy sources with cleaner and greener sources.

The Logo for Energy Conservation appeals to the people to give their support to accept all means of conservation practices required for green life. The green palm raises the concern about need of energy conservation which is been going waste.
