विद्युत मंत्रालय के ऊर्जा दक्षता ब्यूरो द्वारा राष्ट्रीय ऊर्जा संरक्षण जागरूकता अभियान हेतु प्रतीक चिन्ह बनाने के लिए एक प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया है। इस राष्ट्रीय अभियान का उद्देश्य भारतीय नागरिकों को उर्जा के संरक्षण के लिए अपनाई जाने वाली सर्वश्रेष्ठ पद्धतियों और आदतों के बारे में जागरूक करना है।

प्रविष्टि भेजने की अंतिम तिथि: 5 दिसम्बर 2014

विजेता प्रविष्टियों को निम्नलिखित पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया जाएगा:

1. प्रथम पुरस्कार- रु. 25,000/-
2. द्वितीय पुरस्कार- रु. 15,000/-
3. तृतीय पुरस्कार – रु. 10,000/-

तीसरे स्थान के लिए तीन प्रविष्टियों का चयन कर प्रत्येक को रु. 10,000/- के नकद पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा।

The logo is in the shape of a leaf as by saving energy we all move towards a greener and safer environment and the sides of the leaf cupping and protecting the power sign between them shows that its all about saving energy. Also the color saffron has been used to give the effect of our national flag as it is a national campaign and also the colors blue and green are the same colors as used in the logo for Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).

Energy conservation is not only conserving electricity, but also the conservation of its source. Purpose of the logo-The oil drum pictured as a melting candle symbolizes the depleting fossil fuel sources, which is depicted inside an incandescent lamp,lighted by the flame of the candle. The logo not only shows the need of electricity conservation but also spark the awareness of fuel conservation. By depicting the idea in a simple bulb means that the smallest change can lead to big improvements.

The logo submitted shows conservation of energy. The solar panel symbolizes the use of sustainable energy. The electric bulb indicates conservation of electricity. The arrow indicate practice of recycling.

This logo unit has been given a simple and contemporary look to create an easy recall value to the mass. The hand caring/ conservation to nature 'Leaf' has been symbolised in nature. The graphically create a POWER of energy.The colour scheme is based on green is always 'ON' energy to our mankind.

With out awareness in public, the problem of misutilisation of electricity and other source of energies can not be dealt with. I depicted Sun God as a supreme source of energy and the same is being put for future utilisation and proper distribution of energy that can be properly put to utilisation with helping hands. finally the top there is jyothi in the form of leaf (means transformation of energy to generate energy) and also depicts the significance of energy conservation for environment.
