I have a suggestion to remove slum in Mumbai and Delhi. Currently the Dharavi, kind of slum is occupying more space with small house and it is not efficient and hygiene. All the corporate would have certain percentage of profit kept for social activities. If we could collate this fund and build a township for those living in the slums, it will save space and improve the standard of living. It will also help to attract more investment.

We should have system of clinics both in urban and rural areas only for Children to take care of emergencies, routine illnesses, vaccinations. There should be interaction with nearby schools.Manned by Pediatricians.Efficient ambualnce service. Also there is a need for Trauma Care Centres all along highways and expressways. It should have Operation Theaters, postoperative facilities. Facilities to store blood bags and transfusion. Should be manned by Surgeons , Orthopedicians, Radiologists.

In South Africa, to join medicine, its not only marks & academic merit. One has to do certain hours of social service (like blood donation camps) and need to pass a separate attitude test. And it takes 8 years to get a registered practitioner degree MBBCh incl working in a rural govt hospital. So its process of moulding a medical professional. Specialisation comes later. Govt invests lot of time & resources to make a doctor. So its a way of giving back to community.

To improve Healthcare, we need to develop infrastructure, produce skill doctors, every Indian to commit his/her role to discharge his/her duty etc. Some of posted about cleaning, ambulance way etc which are very true. I believe, govt can study other countries developed medical services like US, UAE, Singapore etc. Request Indian Govt to make Online appointment system / book an appointment to visit any Govt office or Private office. I want to give more details but character limitations in forum.

One of the best practices I have seen in the US which can be applicable is to create awareness for vehicles on the road to make way for an ambulance. Everyone should move over and allow the ambulance to pass which will probably help save a lot of lives on time. We can probably enlist the help of some celebrities or big names to initiate the idea and start getting people to follow it.

1. Everyone has to keep their are clean. Some1 complains, city cleans and sends bill to person to pay. 2. Proactive steps for vaccine. Also, spreading the word using media about possible outbreaks. 3. Maintaining vaccine record for kids and school making mandatory during admission process. 4. Free once a year healthcare checkup by most health insurance. 5. Red Cross active participation in blood drive, to collect blood. This helps in saving lives.
