this rare breed of small tortoise was crossing the road in forest in Corbett(Going to,sitabani temple) I got down from my car as we were driving slow to see animals and bingo it was there right in the middle of the road,,as there were vehicles passing by I picked it up and left it inside the trees or it would have been crushed.

This picture is from Guwahati Zoo. Also i would like to draw you attention towards captivity of these animals. My random visit turned out to be emotional break when i saw 'em. They were pretty weak, injured and seemed clearly unstable. I hope we can draw attention through this. Thank you.

Many things can be achieved if we promote trekking or nature trail activities. Firstly, it will be a huge step in promoting tourism in these areas, it will lead to healthy social life and will create employment opportunities in the corresponding areas. Ex there are many forts that belonged to the king Shiwaji´s kingdom in Pune-Mumbai belt (one shown in image) and if we promote tourism at these places, people staying in small villages at the base of these forts can sell food or act as guides :-)

So as we all know wildlife is very important We should donate to wildlife trusts and NGO`S We should conserve/protect our vanishing wildlife We should learn from Africa Their wildlife policies allow locals to manage a large part of the land for wildlife. These are some steps Thank you

Recently Visited Mount Abu, in Rajasthan. Very few people knows about tracking facility and natural beauty of Mount Abu. I think government should start promoting and make good arrangement for this. So that people visiting Abu will participate in tracking and will be more near to nature during their visit. The added education during tour will increase the importance of Nature to them and will increase source of income for government.

This is the world famous Jog falls located in Shivmogga district in karnataka in Monsoon. The drive is charming and water falls is roaring magnificently. This is the paradise on earth for nature lovers. But the bad part is innumerable plastic and broken beer bottles at the bottom of the water falls. Unless we teach the culture of keeping our environment clean to tourists, it is better we will discourage tourism.

Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary near Bangalore has one of the best angling history. The stereotypical laws that says catching and trapping any wildlife in a WLS or NP is prohibited, apparently no one even sees whats under water leave alone conserving the mighty Mahseer. Numerous invasive cat fishes and sorts have entered the rivers. Poaching is rampant using dynamites. Also are plans to create a dam that may flood and the 60 to 100 pound mahseer shall perish due to lack of oxygenated water.
