MyGov Talk with Hon. Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar on Climate Change

In the run-up to COP (Conference of Parties) 21 scheduled in Paris from 30th November to 11th December 2015, MyGov and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change are pleased to announce a MyGov Talk with the Honourable Minister, Shri Prakash Javadekar on the 26th October 2015 at 5.00PM in collaboration with Google India.

With India's Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC), the country is keen to attempt to work towards a low carbon emission pathway, while simultaneously endeavouring to meet all the developmental challenges that the country faces today. The INDC aims at promoting clean energy, especially renewable energy, enhancement of energy efficiency, development of less carbon intensive and resilient urban centres, promotion of waste to wealth, safe, smart and sustainable green transportation network, abatement of pollution and India’s efforts to enhance carbon sink through creation of forest and tree cover.

Citizens are invited to share their ideas, questions and inputs on India's role in COP21 and on the following proposals laid down by INDC:

• Sustainable Lifestyles
• Cleaner Economic Development
• Reduce Emission intensity of Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
• Increase the Share of Non Fossil Fuel Based Electricity
• Enhancing Carbon Sink (Forests)
• Adaptation
• Mobilizing Finance
• Technology Transfer and Capacity Building

Selected ideas and names would also be mentioned by the Hon. Minister and other experts during the MyGov Talk.
Contributors from MyGov, Climate Change Experts, senior journalists and social media influencers will join the panel discussion with Shri Prakash Javadekar.

regarding environment .why we dont have small rivalaries(nahar)parallel to all ghats and request and allow people to perform their bath , rituals ,all activites their and recycle that used water only not whole ganga and ban completely any activity in ganga to perform any activity except transoprt in ganga and used water by people can be recycled easily and willnot heart people releigion .it can be done in short period and use of ctp ans stp on factories should be strictly followed and monitoring

Sir, The waste to energy plant can reduce the pollution due to waste and the place needed to put the waste.In the public places like bus stand and railway station,the collecting point of waste can be provided and there is a collection of plastic bags and reduction of usage of plastic bags should be encouraged by providing the alternetive for plastics which is friendly to nature.

Sir me aapse apke youth power ki kuch problems share karna chahta hu. Me rajasthan ka rehne wala hu or yaha par panchayat samiti me private job kar rha hu as engineer. Sir jo projects apke digital india ke sapne ko sakar banate h, wo saare projects rajasthan me private companies ko diye hue h or wo companies engineers ko majduro jaisa payment kar rhi h lekin ham majbur h kyuki hamare liye koi govt.job hi nhi h or private jobs ke aise haalat h. Ab aapko hi immediate action lena h...Thanks

WE CAN DRASTICALLY REDUCE FUEL CONSUMPTION (BOP+) & CARBON EMMISSIONS BY REDUCING OVERALL TRAVEL BY ADOPTING / ENCOURAGING " WORK FROM HOME" & "STUDY @ HOME" CULTURE AT LEAST 3 DAYS A WEEK M/W/F & T/T/S CAN BE IN OFFICE / IN SCHOOL DAYS WHICH WILL ALSO INCREASE QOL (QUALITY OF LIFE) AS TRAVELLING ALSO CAUSES HEALTH ISSUES INCLUDING HIGHER STRESS LEVELS DUE TO TRAFFIC / CONGESTION / CRAZY RUSH HOURS

Sir I am from rajasthan. I often saw cows and other animals eating plastics bags which are throwned along the road side which is harmful for their health... I think this problem is everywhere. In our state there is your government so kindly take strict action on this matter of using plastic bags by local shops. Recently action has been taken but the impact remain for just one or two days. Kindly see this matter related to animals and our environment

Sir, Fisheries Scientists are visiting the villages and landing centers under the programme " MERA GAON MERA GOURABH" In Mumbai Coast they have found lot of pollution and plastics obstructing fish catch by fishermen. Can the Pollution Control Boards help us in this regard? An advice from your esteemed office will boost the morale of the fishers of Mumbai coast. REGARDS S. N. OJHA snojha@cife.edu.in

i suggest to treat gas subsidy as interest on F.D.R by the bank so as at least20 -30% amount is got refunded by way of income tax from income tax payee

LIKE CLEAN INDIA MOVEMENT,MASS MOVEMENT 4 CLIMATE AWARENESS NEEDED.CYCLE DAY, TREEPLANTATION DAY,NO NOICE POLLUTION DAY CAN BE LINKED WITH NATIONAL FESTIVALS OR BIRTH/ DEATH ANNIVERSARIES OF GREAT PERSONALITIES..BICYCLE ROUTE, JOGGING/WALKING LANE WITH STRICT LAW IN PRACTICE IF VIOLATED BY HIT&RUN..RAPID MASS TRANSPORT TO BE PROMOTED AND FOR THAT LEADERS SHALL TAKE INITIATIVE(POLITICIANS ARE ELECTED FOR DELIVERING SERVICES AND NOT 4 USING RED&YELLOW LIGHT VEHICLES TO SHOW THEIR POWER STATUS).
