Respected sir, there is lot of black money in circulation in real estate and gold in india. All the cash generated by GST evaders is finding its way to property and gold. Centre government has taken good step by not allowing cash transactions in property beyond rupees two lac. States also need to take steps like increasing collector rates of property in line with market price to curb cash transactions. States should reduce stamp duty on registration to help genuine buyers but should not reduce collector rates. It is property dealers who lobby together for reduction in collector rates of property. Centre and state agencies should work together to widen tax base and discourage circulation of black money. This loophole needs to be plugged at an earliest. If we encourage white money transactions in property, this would also help in stabilising property prices and make housing affordable for our citizens.
