The government is exploring how AI can be embedded into electronics, semiconductors, telecom, and IT hardware manufacturing under PLI 2.0 to boost competitiveness and exports. Create a dedicated AI PLI track for startups and chipmakers working on AI hardware/software. Link AI with semiconductor mission to attract Nvidia, AMD, and global AI hardware players. Offer export-linked incentives for AI SaaS and enterprise AI platforms. Build AI innovation clusters in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Noida with tax breaks and R&D credits.
