The Tamil Nadu Government provides free laptops to undergraduate students in their first and second years. This is a very commendable initiative and has helped many students access digital education. However, I would like to respectfully highlight that postgraduate and doctoral students, especially research scholars, have an even greater need for laptops for their academic work, research, data analysis, and thesis preparation. Many students at this level face difficulties due to the lack of adequate resources. I humbly request you to kindly consider initiating or encouraging support schemes for postgraduate and doctoral students as well, so that they can effectively carry out their research and contribute to the nation’s development.
