Teaching Children to Protect India’s Food Wealth | Preparing the Next Generation for Farm Emergencies In our schools, children are taught what to do during earthquakes, accidents, or electric shocks. This is important. But I wish to raise another equally serious question—are our children taught what to do when a sudden hailstorm damages crops, when unseasonal rain falls just after harvest, or when strong winds and heavy rain threaten sacks filled with grain? This is not merely a farming issue; it is a matter of the nation’s food security. India may depend on other countries for fuel, but in food grain production we proudly stand self-reliant. Therefore, protecting the harvest must become a part of our education system from every class onward. If today’s children learn this practical wisdom, tomorrow they will save the farmer’s hard work and the nation’s food wealth. From- Yogesh Ramakant Bholane, M.Sc.(Agri.)

Letter for Mann Ki Baat To, The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, New Delhi. Subject: Inspiration from Shri Pramod Kumar Sahu’s Environmental Work Respected Modi Ji, I wish to share the inspiring story of Shri Pramod Kumar Sahu, lovingly called Pahad Bhai. Through his tireless dedication, he transformed a barren hill in Odisha into a lush forest of over two lakh trees. Without any government aid, he worked for years to restore nature, recharge groundwater, and inspire villagers toward organic farming, herbal plantation, and eco-tourism. His simple life, deep love for nature, and commitment to the community make him a true symbol of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.” His selfless service deserves recognition and should reach every Indian through Mann Ki Baat. With respectful regards, Name-PRAMOD KUMAR SAHU FATHER-MARKANDA SAHU [AT/PO-KUKUDANG, DIST/PS- ANGUL, STATE-ODISHA, PIN-759123] Mob-8658584675
