Sub: Prices below production cost faced by over 5 million potato farmers across the country. The country produces 50 million MT of potaotes and we consume 1,25,000 MT per day. Potato is consumed in home and also outside home as samosa/vada etc. Due to Covid the consumption has slipped and farmers are stuck as they have produced it dueing Feb March. If you give a call to all the house wives, govt dept to include one dish of potato every day farmers problem will be relieved
