IN is India’s Country Code Top Level domain (ccTLD). The Govt. of India delegated the operations of INRegistry to NIXI in 2004. The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) is a Not-for-Profit Company incorporated under section 25 of the Indian Companies Act, 1956, with an objective of facilitating improved internet services in the country. The INRegistry operates and manages India’s .IN ccTLD.

The INRegistry ensures operational stability, security and reliability of the .IN ccTLD. The INRegistry implements the policies of Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India from time to time.

NIXI on behalf of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India seeks entries for design of Logo for .INRegistry.

The last date of submission is 25th October, 2014.

The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.50,000/-.

"Sunrise" period which is irrelevant now. Concept behind my logo:-The two “Dots” are inspired (not the replica) by the famous wheel of “Sun Temple, Konark”. “I” is inspired (not the replica) by the pillar of “Ashok Stambh”. And “N” is inspired (not the replica) by the “India Gate”. It depicts “India”.

The logo for the ‘.in’ domain is interactive so as to show modernization and progress in the country along with instilling pride in the users. It is a Holo consists of all the inspiring words with an ‘in’ prefix and makes you question yourself. It shows that people who associate with the ‘.in’ domain take pride in it. The ‘.in’ logo shows building blocks together to form a better India, which is more technologically advanced, rapidly progressing in every field.
