World Oral Health Day (WOHD) is celebrated every year on 20 March. It is an international day to celebrate the benefits of a healthy mouth and to promote worldwide awareness of the issues around oral health and the importance of oral hygiene to looking after everyone old and young.

WOHD 2016 aims to get everyone to recognise the impact their oral health has on overall physical health and wellbeing to help inspire this change, the overall campaign theme is: Healthy mouth. Healthy body.

This year we at Centre for Dental Education & Research, AIIMS, New Delhi (National Centre of Excellence for Implementation of National Oral Health Programme) want to ensure that this poster/slogan contest inspires every citizen of India to promote oral health.

Major health problem in India is on account of Pollution. Here are my suggestions. 1. Treat expenditure on environment as investment rather than expenditure. 2. Compulsory replinishing of fuel to vehicles, wherever pollution certificate is available. 3. All State owned transport vehicles should be replaced with biofuel and more than 10 year old should no ply. 4. Instead of tax rebate, subsidise for replacing the old vehicle say 10 yrs especially as people talk more about subsidies available
