In accordance with the vision of Prime Minister to build the nation from the villages, the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) aims to converge all programmes of Government and combine the same with the MPLAD funds in order to create model villages.

Under this, a few villages will be identified in each District for provision of all basic services and amenities such as – drinking water, sanitation, solid/liquid waste management, housing, connectivity, internal roads and street lighting, on a saturation approach. All these villages will also be open defecation free and will be models of good governance.

Department of Rural Development, with aim to get peoples’ participation for suggesting a suitable Logo for SAGY, invites entries in MyGov portal.

The last date of submission is 30th September, 2014

The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.25,000/-

In traditional and Modern India "rangoli" always craft for celebration , development and happiness and this is very common in rural areas. The purpose of rangoli is decoration, and it is thought to bring good luck, happiness and development Through the concept of logo I represents growth , development in different sector of rural areas.

i created only slogan for this contest. nowadays there lack of facilities in rural areas to develop as fast as urban area. so there is lot of differences in these two areas. our government should take necessary steps to clear these differences and make rural areas similar to urban by implementing this powerful SAGY scheme. i wish our government to make this scheme as successful one like others.
