The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation is pleased to inform you that our city has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with 98 other cities to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

The city needs to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with citizens and other stakeholders. We urge you to share your ideas and be an integral part of the journey towards making Vizag a smart city!

“My Visakhapatnam of Tomorrow” – A vision Competition

• The question you need to answer is “What is your vision for Vizag smart city”?
• Maximum word limit – 100 words.

The best 3 Vision Statements would be declared as winners.

The competition shall be closed on 1st November, 2015.

Prize Money (Cash / Vouchers / Gift items):

• 1st Prize: INR 10,000/-
• 2nd Prize: INR 6,000/-
• 3rd Prize: INR 4,000/-
• Consolation Prizes (25 nos.): INR 1,000/- each

How to Submit

All the entries must be submitted online through https://mygov.in.

Terms and Conditions

1. All participants must clearly mention following details in their entries:

• Name
• Mother’s Name
• Father’s Name
• Address
• Age
• Contact number (with area code)

2. The winner will be chosen on the basis of simplicity of thought, realism in ideas, and originality in content.

3. The decision of GVMC on selection of top three winners and consolation prize winners shall be final. GVMC officials can participate in the competition but will not be eligible for rewards.

Drainage systems should be improved.Plantation of trees should be more.Hospital facilities should be improved.Pure drinking water should be supplied.Education system should be developed.Tourist places should be developed and maintained.Development of agency areas should be done.Development of IT companies is required.free treatment for poor.

Drainage system GVMC premisis have to improve. Plantation should be improved in Vizag city. Foot paths should be develop like under ground foot paths,sub ways and fly overs in main areas.

1.Automatic traffic signal-In case of heavy traffics routes will be automatically diverted 2.Better Public transport facility-To reduce traffic on roads, there will be improvement in existing public transport system. 3.Quick accident relief-In case of accident or fault in a vehicle, people will get help in just one call. They will get help through CCTV too. 4.Smart Traffic system-On the lines of London’s Smart Traffic System, people will get the information regarding heavy traffic in advance.
