Suggest smart solutions for solving traffic problems. The solutions may include but not limited to use of innovative digital technologies, administrative and architectural solutions and design of workflows which may be used for solving the problems mentioned in the contest. All questions in this category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing. Questions 1. Suggest one smart solution and/or innovative technology for conveniently dealing with traffic congestion outside your home. 2. One motorcar carries 4 people comfortably; one public bus carries 40 people comfortably. How can a smart city balance the needs of the car and the bus? 3. How can travelling by bus in your city become safer and more comfortable with the use of innovative technologies and smart solutions? Entry Deadline • Entries may be submitted online on the mygov.in portal latest by 23.59 hours (11.59 pm) on Saturday, 20th June 2015. Evaluation The submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria: • Do-ability (50%) • Innovation (50%) Award Two winners in each category will be awarded a citation from the Prime Minister at the Smart City Mission Launch on June 25th, 2015 at VigyanBhavan, New Delhi, along witha cash prize of the following amounts: • Rs. 40,000 - First PrizeRs. 25,000 - Second Prize The winning ideas would be shared with the 100 SmartCities as potentiallyimplementablesolutions and will be considered for pilot • All questions in a particular category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing. • The participants(s) entries will be judged for each category independently and on merit. In case of short listing in more than one category, a participant will receive prize money for one category only. • The length of each answer is limited to 250 words or less. 1. Inbuilt alarm inside every vehicle that blows when the individual violates a traffic rule. 2. Wider roads 3. Bus tracking system that shows position of a particular bus in a route using GPS and also avalability of bus in a route for a range of time.

शहरों में यातायात की समस्या हल करने के लिए हमको जनयातायात को प्राथमिकता देनी चाहिए। जैसे कार पूलिंग, नगर बसों में यात्रा को प्राथमिकता देनी चाहिए। और सबसे बड़ी की हमको साइकिल के चलन को आगे बढ़ाना चाहिए। मार्ग चौड़ीकरण करने के लिए हमको फूटपाथ से अतिक्रमण को हटाना होगा। जिससे काफी हद तक हमको यातायात की समस्या से निजात मिल सकती है। बड़े वाहनों का शहरों प्रवेश दिन के समय वर्जित करना चाहिए। पार्किंग के लिए भूमिगत पार्किंग को बढ़ावा देना चाहिए।

Traffic police should give helmats to any biker, who is defaulter Non-wearing helmats after taking penal charge of say Rs. 500/-. & give electronically printed challan, which has to be submitted in control room within next 24 hours.

respected modijii..trauffic ko divert ker dena hi ek smart solution hoga..jese city me railway ko underground kiya jaye or us per highway bnaya jaye...to sara trauffic highway pe divert ho jayega...or ye her city me apply hoga.....me iske benifit or pesa jutane ka tarika bhi bata sakta huuu...bt limited word ki vajah se yaha nhi bata pa rha

Allow trafic police only to book defaulter but collect fine directly in bank account. Commission may be paid to police. This will increase receipts of government and eventually people will follow traffic rules. Also corruption will be in control. But digitisation is must

CCTV SURVELANCE AT ALL CROSS ROAD AND SIGNAL POINT Link each vehicle to adhar card of owner and direct debit facility of e challan generated by CCTV system from linked bank. Should change in law also heavy penalty for no entry and tragic SIGNAL violation

1. Public transport bus stops must have proper sitting arrangement, which will prevent passengers to stand on road. It will comfort passengers mentally as well as physically. 2. We need convey message of car pooling to all citizens, so that the traffic will be smooth. We can spread it through social media. 3. As mentioned in point 1, we should have digital clock to show bus arrival time, so that person will know when particular bus is arriving to bus stop, Which will comfort passengers.
