The Ministry of Finance is proposing a national initiative to provide all households in the country with banking services, with particular focus to empower the weaker sections of society, including women, small and marginal farmers and labourers, both urban and rural.

This task seeks inputs to design a Logo, name and tag line for the Finance Ministry's initiative. The last date of submision is 7th August 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

Sarv jan vithiya vikas yojna, The logo symbolizes both the act of participating and receiving benefits on participating in a scheme available to all Indians. It's a symbol of equality and participation.

The name "Saksham" denotes making capable the general masses to be able to manage their finances and moneys. The logo accordingly reflects the banking system (suggested by the currency symbol) joining hands with the populace (suggested by the tri-color). The tag line "sabke paas...sabke saath" is self explanatory in the context - the banks reaching out to every one and supporting the patrons, i.e., subscribers of the system. All the three items are very simple and understandable pan India.
