The Ministry of Finance is proposing a national initiative to provide all households in the country with banking services, with particular focus to empower the weaker sections of society, including women, small and marginal farmers and labourers, both urban and rural.

This task seeks inputs to design a Logo, name and tag line for the Finance Ministry's initiative. The last date of submision is 7th August 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

Program name: FAN (First Account Number) The idea of the program simply originates from the fact that this will possibly be the first ever bank account the beneficiary will have to his name. Moreover, it becomes an acronym and is easy to remember and pronounce for everyone. While the colours give it a modern look, the full form creates aspiration right away. Also, it is easily extendable as the name of a service such as plastic money.
