Section 161 of Railway act indicates “If any person driving or leading a vehicle is negligent in crossing an unmanned level crossing, he shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to one year.”

Section 131 of the Motor Vehicle Act indicates that “Every driver of a motor vehicle at the approach of any unguarded railway level crossing shall cause the vehicle to stop and the driver of the vehicle shall cause the conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person in the vehicle to walk up to the level crossing and ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side and then pilot the motor vehicle across such level crossing, and where no conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person is available in the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle shall get down from the vehicle himself to ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side before the railway track is crossed”

However due to non-following of relevant rules by the road users, many accidents are occurring resulting in loss of precious life  at unmanned level crossings.

Suggest solutions for reducing accidents at unmanned level crossings.

Hats off MR, Please do not take up new projects. Drop some of the approved projects. Many of them are useless and were approved in personal interests. Complete the deserving projects on priority. Introduce new trains only if the section capacity permits and if financially viable. Safety department should work under DRM . Babus are never accountable for the lapses of Railways. Make them accountable tor lapses and losses caused by them.

To build confidence in the railway budget and functioning can the railways put out the project plan for the planned projects. These plans can be updated every 2 months. This will put enormous pressure on the executing agency as the progress is available in the public domain. This level of transparency will be revolutionary and path breaking

Dear Sir, My Suggestion to Improve effective logistics by using railway, Industries and companies not utilizing railway logistics.reason, there is no safety , no pick up and drop of materials. this is the main reason for the failure of logistic railway. If we over come of this reason by arranging vehicle for pick up and drop facilities to industrial area and also utilize postal department for accessing.

To generate Revenue in Indian Railways Smart Traveller Card - Traveller can top up the card with x amount of money, and can use that card to purchase the ticket by any medium. One card holder can have 6 members, just by entering card number in to the system, the list of all the members will be displayed and given an option the actual travelling members can be selected from the travellers form. Railways can have advanced revenue generation plan, pm / railways please contact me to have more ideas
