The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.
 
Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Based on my experience with steel industry, for apprentice training, more stress should be on theory lessons with demonstration of concepts in lab or practical classes. Most apprentices when recruited undergo orientation or training in the organization. What most of them lack is the underlying assumption and concepts. Their skill gets that task done but in not sufficient to give them skill to innovate and think critically.

hello INDIA, I HAVE A SUGGETION FOR THE ALL SOCIAL SITES TO PREVENT FROM CRIME AND LOT MORE, IS... THE PERSON WHO WANT TO JOIN ANY SOCIAL SITES, HE HAS TO SUBMIT A SCAN COPY OF HIS/HER PERSONAL ID ON SITES FOR SAFTY AND SECURITY.... THANKS....

There are much more no. of tourist places but all are not developed yet.There are no communication to there, so it should be developed and I think the local area will be developed & the way of living of people who will directly/indirectly involved, should be much better.

Dear Sir, there can be synergy among different departments within a panchayat to support for education in schools at panchayat or district levels. like angan wadi, irrigation department, forestery, animal husbandry , temples, traditional knowledge from elderly, etc can be combiled to impart knowledge to school kids. this would make the school childrens more relevent in the society. At present those who put effort and study well are distancd form the society and have to move to greener pastures of educaion. so both ways rural india is losing. if the school kids are educated they move out , if they are not educated well , they become jobless in the village. if we combine all the resources around the village with schools, information of funding will also be there with the local communicity, schools students will not let coprruption happen and our rural society will nurture people, the load on our cities will be less.

manniye pardhanmantri ji hamare desh ki 65% aabadi yuva hai hum duniya ko man power supply ki baat kar rahe hain yadi badi badi company me high school yaa inter pass karmchari jinhone ek hi kaam me maharat hasil kar lee hai unehe technical degree de kar abrod bhejen to hamare bharat ki growth teen guni jayada ho sakati hai.

We need to have better taxi transport facilities from Airports. This is the first thing any of the Foreigner who is wishing to see an Incredible India will experience. If they feel cheated in this instance, whole of their journey will not be fruitful. Can we start a government based Taxi system which ensures correct fares, better service & good hospitality?

a synergy for both practical knowledge along with theoritical understanding of situations inside mines be required for mining sector, as all kinds of problems might not be available practically. problems may arise in future and therefore should be nderstood through theory

Dear Sir, education is the key to sucess, and education can be there in all forms. it need not be only a classroom education. a small girl who belongs from a nomadic tribes and does circus on roads, by walking on ropes 5 meter high withought falling on ground, is very much educated . the problem is we do not have a format for recognising her knowledge and skills and she is benefitted on by thrown coins. I urge you to cultivate different formats of recognition for all kind of knowledge

Need both kind of skills (a) a few experts on how to map, extract , using new technology, decision support tools ( we are depending on western research and MNCs) (b) Field experts with good managerial skills in efficient ways to extract , in an environmentally sustainable and safe way
