The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.
 
Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

I am planning to start a school for children that focuses on Project based learning. I believe that this will create a skilled workforce. I would like the blessings of our PM and all my brethren. This will be an experiment and hopefully can be duplicated all over the country.

It is possible for zero effluent discharge villages can we make more strict towards local gram panchayats where people are still wasting water because of free or very cheap water availability. If we provide meter to each house it is possible

Skill development is very important part for every one, Some private sector should be skill development center to sill development not to fired week employee because if he have family after jobless he will be down so also should be job security in Private sector for employee. And also should be make amendments about security in Private sector like Public sectors. Please listen me seriously

Respected Sir, I want share main problem of knowledge improving. Actually i have completed ITI in 2006 and working in private sector. I want to improve my technical skills through diploma course, but in our state correspondence diploma is not running. So i requesting to pls provide guidelines from central government to all state governments for starting correspondence courses through evening classes 7 to 10PM. With this our vision make in India will achieve with good technical skills.

please scrap...DTC , Air India , free railway tickets to railway employees , outsource all non-core activities of railways like catering / ticketing / cleaning etc...or privatise them , aakash vani, doordarshan and all such government departments which are eating tax payers money and where private players are available and making money.

Sir in my opinion, only basic classroom training is needed. Beyond that, we need to emphasise on the job training. Mining is carried out many times in remote areas. Therefore, we need to incentivise not only the mining employees, but also trainees in terms of increased stipends etc. a broad based tool development programme should also be launched to modernise the tools and technologies in use in the mining industry,
