The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, ...

The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.
 
Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

we doesn't fully use our natural resources. We Should move to the natural resources like petroleum, platinum (platinum now found at Truchengode (Tamilnadu) area) and other precious (but value less for humanity) things to develop our country's financial position.

Certain level of class room training is unavoidable, but the main experience will come from on the job training in actual operational scenario.

Faculty a biggest problem in rural areas. If curriculum of different trades is made in vernacular language as self learning software by IT companies under CSR using man hours .Combined together with the use of local practical trainers this can be taken over by NGO as massive training programme .in 5yrs One teacher trained 2500 ladies in tailoring by door step method.TCS helped us train 100 boys in hardware &networking.one trained nurse using youtube trained 150 girl in TRAINED DAI.

Dear Modiji, Our education system needs total revamp. Why can't we have teaching of mother tongue, English and elementary maths upto Class VIII? I find that many children aged 12 yrs are not able to read the languages properly. They are also not able to do any mental addition subtraction mentally without the help of calculator. Elder Persons with less education are able to manage things with their limited education. All other subjects can start from only Class IX.

Dear Sir, I already work in skill development sector as skill develpoer i think that in the mining sector skill development is an important part because in this sector our most of labours are working in critical conditions so we need to develop the skills of workers. For that we can conduct the certificate or diploma courses like diploma in safety mining, certificate in blasting, certificate in heavy machinery operations etc. from these classroom courses we can develop skills in the mining worke
