The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Skill development should be combination of Class room, Information Technology and Industry Training. There should be three levels 1. PG Certificate Degree, Diploma & Certificates for Engineers, Master & Bachelor Degree Holders 2. Advanced Diploma for Dioloma Holders & Graduates 3. Skill Development Diploma by Vocational Training Providers for ITI & School Dropouts for grass root workers. Construction Skills Development can be made a part of Building Center Movement now lying dormant, Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, IAY, Clean India campaign, MNREGA or any other.

In any field, be it Mining or Construction or Education, or...Skill Development is necessary> Construction needs skills particularly if Clean India campaign or Housing for All is to succeed. These two programs can generate over 2 lakhs job avenues in Bihar alone, by setting up small groups of 20-25 persons and giving them 4-6 weeks training in alternative & appropriate technologies. I am talking of environmentally friendly FERRO-CEMENT TECHNOLOGY.

My IDeas : 1> Government should put boards on main places like checkpoints for development for a year , so that MLAs/corporators will stay accountable to citizens. 2>Clean Idea is very simple - as places , which are not clean , that can directly be linked to the wards under the municipalities and those ward members and corporators should be penalised . 3>Roads should be made the best of quality for at least 5 years , which should not need maintenance till 5 years , this very much required.

As there multiple natural disasters incidents happening and National welfare programs are being initiated in our nation there must be requirement for huge revenue , You can start a process by which the person willing can directly deposit / donate money to Prime minister's relief fund. Ex: 1> Monthly Rs50 and above , people can start contributing directly through their salary account. So that this money can be used for country's infrastructure development. My ideas I would like to share here .

mining sectors really need the practically training oriented and technology knowledge driven program to the work force which is involved in mining in various sectors , our P.M. is going to Australia from this country the mining technology can be taken or some work force can be send to Australia for training and then to train Indian workforce about efficient and safe mining, the disaster management during any emergency at any mine is also very needed which may be taken from Australia.
