The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources. India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica. Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP. For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower. Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Class room training plus apprentership of 6 months. We have lost of human lives in mines as the laws are not stringent and no proper guidance as well no consideration for the human resource.

The gounds in village schools ( other than playing ground) if made Pucca or brick lined and cemented school attendance will increase because skin problems (particularly scabies and fewest boils) will decrease considerably .hence excuses for furlough also decrease

We all in a race of joining engineering or medicine, where only few are getting placed. What I feel is in a class room there are around 40 children one class teacher, every class teacher will knw about thier students individually. Its their duty to identify their talents d train from school level.

Mining sector is a serious business which needs very fine skills because high risks are involved. As for as mode of training is concerned, it needs a fine balance between the class room learning and field exposure. It can be 40% class room learning to make the person understand the concept and go through know how areas for specific job roles. Rest 60 % should be on job training which should be part of training. It will create a fine balance between knowledge & skills.

All the ponds in village must be made Pucci or brick lined to maintain animal health. If water is kept clean worm infestation and skin problems will decrease and milk yield will increase

Most of our students are not aware of these specialized courses and tech. Programme and the job oppurtunity fr such courses. Its worrying even our teachers of govt d middle level pvt school not aware
