By naming, rather identifying the Indian Rhino as one horn Rhino, we are making the Rhino more vulnerable to poachers and wildlife traders. Is the African Rhino called the two horn Rhino? We are glorifying the horn yet we are not able to protect it. Are humans identified as two-legged intellectual animal?

The Indian Rhinoceros is fearless, possesses enormous strength, is herbivorous and less intimidating compared to the Lion. More Rhinos in Kaziranga die because of Poaching compared to the Gir Lion, where natural death is more common. If, like the Lion in MAKE IN INDIA logo, the Rhino is incorporated as a symbol for one of the visionary steps of the Government of India than I believe, there will be a wholesome support to fighting and combating poaching of this gentle giant.
