Digital Locker is one of the key initiatives under the Digital India Programme. A beta version (http://digitallocker.gov.in) of the same has been released on 10th Feb. 2015, by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India.

Digital Locker is aimed at minimizing the usage of physical documents and enable sharing of e-documents across agencies. The sharing of the e-documents will be done through registered repositories thereby ensuring the authenticity of the documents online. Residents can also upload their own electronic documents and digitally sign them using the e-sign facility. These digitally signed documents can be shared with Government organizations or other entities.

Key features of the Digital Locker System are:

• 10 MB of free space in digital locker to residents to access their documents through Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and also securely store e-documents.
• e-sign online service to digitally sign documents

Residents are invited to use the Beta version of the Digital Locker System and provide suggestions and feedback on the same. Suggestions are also invited on the use cases for services which can be additionally provided by the Digital Locker System.

Sir why your government is not doing anything with passport application process. I mean on the official website cost is clearly mentioned then why we are forced to pay extra money in the police station and if you refuse to do that then you ready to get humiliated. The cost of a normal passport is 1500 but originally it cost 5000 I just want to know why cant you fix the amount to 5000 so that we can make our mind. Sir I am so sorry I am being rude to you but sir this was not your vision.

(1) I'm happy to get the news about that PM's suit is going in right hands. actually I wasn't so pleased to heard about that PM's suit is going for an auction. I was good with the other things but not with the suit. because, there are so many things who anyone can't buy. because they are priceless. they has contain so many things what we can't figured-out without we has so many point of views. they has nation's pride. I was worried about showing it off. so I didn't really wanted that....

(2).. it was a great decision to funding for 'clean Ganga' by the money of gifts. and I was so glad to heared about that 'Lanji Bhai Patel ji' has pay for "clean Ganga", not for the Suit. it means suit not sold out. It is honorable for all, Nation, Ganga, and for PM also. in fact, I didn't really know hit yet, until watched his interview on television. so I'm impressed with his simple and careful nature. and my stress had gone about that. suit has completed his painful journey. I'mwithmyPM.
