Digital Locker is one of the key initiatives under the Digital India Programme. A beta version (http://digitallocker.gov.in) of the same has been released on 10th Feb. 2015, by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India.

Digital Locker is aimed at minimizing the usage of physical documents and enable sharing of e-documents across agencies. The sharing of the e-documents will be done through registered repositories thereby ensuring the authenticity of the documents online. Residents can also upload their own electronic documents and digitally sign them using the e-sign facility. These digitally signed documents can be shared with Government organizations or other entities.

Key features of the Digital Locker System are:

• 10 MB of free space in digital locker to residents to access their documents through Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and also securely store e-documents.
• e-sign online service to digitally sign documents

Residents are invited to use the Beta version of the Digital Locker System and provide suggestions and feedback on the same. Suggestions are also invited on the use cases for services which can be additionally provided by the Digital Locker System.

Make in India is just a slogan unless it works for SMEs as under 1) Land on 25 years lease with road, power and water. 2) Easy and fast Loans to SMEs @ 10%. 3) GST...make it as simple as possible. If possible at 10% so no CA is required. 4) Skill Development through ITIs and all Govt Engineering colleges by upgrading the tool room to German machines teaching machinery and process leading to zero defect and zero effect. For digital India First and foremost the banking system should be made fully digital. Jst like SBI Intouch. Banks deserves to be digital, This will lessen the loss of the banks as the transparency will increase. Employees will not give bad loans in return to fat amount of money which is the main cause for increasing NPA of the banks.

LPG subsidy is transferred to bank and one has to withdraw it from the bank to purchase the cylinder. It should be otherway round, buyer should deposit the money to the account and make payment for cylinder through card swipe. This will encourage account usage. A special incentive of 10/- for each cylinder purchase through swipe card will increase the usage tremendously. Similarily some incentive can be given for electricity and water billing as these are to be paid monthly/bimonthly.
