Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

for leverage tourism , My thought is first we have to know very well about the culture and ability of creativity of that area, Government of India need to start program like "एक गांव एक रचनात्मकता", because we all know that each village in India have their own arts culture and creativity, but they unable to grow this because of many circumstances. so few point for leverage tourism in rural india :- 1. program or Compitition between them. 2.create documentry videos on rural India.

Sir, we can with the help of Panchayat create a Tourist park in each tehsil which have the following 1) authentic cooking style 2) demonstration of how mechanics and methods have change in due course of time in respect of I) sourcing water (earlier days animals were used, then wells then handpum and now tap water) II) harvesting (how machinery have evolved and made easy irrigation in certain ways) III) use of cow dunk in villages Also, apart from tourist students trip can also be made.

Local people host guests in their own accommodation which is suitable to give them privacy, facilities etc. Villagers should be approached ,then trained to give justified accomodation for tourists which increase their income and tourists gets originality of village culture and nature in pure form. No luxury ,simlecity only. A govt website containing village guest ouses, living along as paying guest etc information with proper rule and regulations. Do and Don't also.

For rural development we need to attention on Farmer Because without farmers nothing is possible. Our culture are save in village life. Education of farmers is very important. For tourism we need first to change our education system. India ki Gulami ki story hi aaj tak pdai jati hai....Surveero ka ithias humse chupa liya gya..Prachin drohar ko sambal k rakhna hi tourism ko bdava dega...And last mai transport are must.

Our diversed culture is our strength, we should secure it, celebrate it, embrace it. To help rural tourism grow we should showcase local traditions, customs, cuisine in short local par vocal hona hoga.

Make sure that every village has its unique identity for MSME, so that it's youth get jobs.... & also make that place for Torasim. After that it's already come in good condition.

Please develop infrastructure in all villages not only panchayat office. High speed internet connectivity, road, 24 hr electricity and put government institutions in rural area. Showcase villages with their cultures, festivals in internet and tourism site. Request local MP to take responsibility to revamp their constitution with all central govt facility because some state government are not working but showing false report to central govt they did development.
