Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

We can connect local food with perticular rural region and creat ethnic cultural environment at place. For example, Dang region is famous for "nagli na rotla" in people of Gujarat. Moreover local infrastructure must be upgraded, because of lack of facilities many places remain untouched. We require local level small hotels or lodges which can provide luxurious facilities to international tourist. Evenmore, celebrity should promote different rural area which will result in massive attraction.

We have grand mother's or some aged persons who can cook some traditional dishes but they are not ready to start a resturant because that doesn't suites there life style. So what can we do is send a team to find out if there are any such persons and give them guidance . Then need to set up a accommodation in a environment which calls all the folks toward rural calmness and close to nature. Accomodation should be in huts , farms , cattles so on .

Cycling is a new trend and if we have good road connectivity to these rural areas where we want to promote tourism, following can be done - 1. Organising cycling competitions and inviting teams, individuals or even the Cycling clubs to participate. 2. Promoting various events and rebates for Cyclists, so that they can come and explore the areas. 3. Even same can be done for the motor cyclists as well. 4. Cycling and Motorcycling can be a big areas to explore and promote tourism.

This pandemic has in a way supported is what I consider. With most of the youngsters from rural areas having moved back to their natives due to lockdown , a program involving them will help in bringing our villages into main stream tourism. Incentives can be planned for the youth from rural areas to join this movement.

Village me wall or pure village ko design paint krne ke liye national level pe competition krawaya Jaye.. painting theme based bhi ho...Jo Accha painter hoga usko price mile..isse Pura village bhi colour full pain ho jayega..

For better access and bringing business, the PSUs and PSB should be asked to lease or rent some premises in the villages as holiday homes or vocational homes. This brings people close to village and business to the local community. Also refund of 1% GST on total amount spent at remote villages can be given to consumers to boost spending at these villages

नमस्कार, 1) सबसे पहले सफाई का पूरा ध्यान रखें 2) फीस निर्धारित रखें 3) ऑफिशियल कार्यकर्ता रखें ताकि आने वाले लोगों को आसानी से घुमा सके और उनका ख्याल रख सके 4) official helpline number rakhen 5) उनके ठहरने की उनके खाने की उचित व्यवस्था रखें एवं उनके अनुसार ही खाना बनाए जो वह चाहते हैं|

Village decoration Kiya Jaye, Ghar ke wall pe painting, bricks ke Street roads, plantation of flowers , making small garden, put dust bin each place, toilet wall decoration, sign board, clean street... Village ko decorate krne se public dekhne aayegi or business develop hoga waha..local log motivate honge.

The centraltral and state governments need to reduce taxes so that there is more disposable income with rural citizens.. once income flow is secure then some hospitality professionals/groups could develop some sections as a natural / rural retreat with food sourced locally.. eventually the management of such facilities could kick start local diversification and expand the income sources of the local population
