Many shop keepers throw the plastic covers on the roads. Corporation officials must visit & check all shops and fine them if they violate the rule. Unemployed youths can be deputed as supervisors and they can be entrusted to maintain clean roads on major & important places. This will save more money & time. Wastage of drinking water by residents is more. While some areas get good water supply other areas don't get.Awareness to save water must be made immediately among all citizens

Another important thing is Corporation must ban burning of waste materials through out the city. Many garbage materials are burnt and it creates air pollution & smoke affects the residents. All Residents must be advised not to burn any rubbish items inside their house. They must be discarded properly at dustbins. A reward or trophy can be given to the local welfare associations which maintains its locality very neatly. This will give good result in having a clean city.Pls implement this.

Whenever a crime happens police must help a victim to lodge a complaint immediately instead of sending them back saying it is not in their limit. This will help to track the criminals faster than wasting time.
Likewise police department must come forward in forming a local patrolling time with the help of unemployed youths. They can be given a small amount and use their man power to patrol the residential areas during night time to look out for strangers & anti social elements.

When a road is dug for laying cable or pipes it is not properly covered. Contractors must be held responsible & fined heavily if they don't maintain the roads.Officials must make surprise check ups on the quality of the roads. If they found any lack in quality the entire expense has to be recovered from such contractors.
CCTV cameras must be installed at sensitive points to prevent crimes. Like wise Corporation officials must check all street lights in residential areas are well maintained.

First thing is to create awareness among public to maintain the city clean. Placing dustbins at important places & cleaning them through good conservancy agency is must. All flat owners must be advised to dispose their wastes neatly. If they throw in roads they must be fined.
Entire city must have name boards for each street prominently displayed. All street lights must be changed into solar energy instead of electrical. Corporation must take steps to maintain street lights and roads. Potholes must be covered. All sewage manholes must be covered fully. Excess rain water can be saved & reused during summer season.

Few MTC buses can be operated during the school hours exclusively for school students on the main routes like Teynampet to Saidapet, tambaram to Medavakkam etc. will help the school kids in many ways. It is very difficult for especially girls to travel in the bus with general public during the school hrs. Just 2 or 3 services on the main stretches will help school children's foot board travel and accidents. This initiative can be served by any corporates/NGOs as part of helping the society.
