With vehicular traffic increasing by the day, it is very important to provide adequate facilities to pedestrians. Adequate foot over bridges or subwasy with escalators should be constructed. This would ensure pedestrian safety and comfort. This would also ease movement of vechiles. The cost could be met from tolls from vehcile owners, since they would save subtantially in fuel cost with better fuel efficiency.

Many small/medium streets condition in chennai is not good ..During rainy season it is so bad. Hence, the road maintenance can be sponsored by local vendor/stores famous in that area so they can advertise their name wherever allowed for a defined period/s to be fixed by the govt so that more initiaative/participaiton can be taken by local people and they can be maintained will including plantation of trees etc

In many places the Traffic police asking for Driving Licence/Insurance copy for vehicles riders. Lot of 'Q" and time taken. Xerox also not clear and in rainy season it is very difficult and also carrying the papers give lot of trouble. A integrated machine can be given to all checking Traffic officers like hand held machine in Bus, so that while typing the VEHCILE no they can know the status of insurance, owner name etc. can easily complete the job as well as no of checking will be increased

Government will bring lot of initiatives to make Chennai as a Smart City, unless there is a change in attitude within the people of Chennai this cannot be achieved. Our people has selfish mentality and careless attitude. We misuse our democratic freedom. Government should create strict rules, enforce it strictly and whoever violates the rules should be dealt severely with huge fine. In the mean time, the govt should widen the roads and give adequate facilities for the public.

1. Good Water 2. Proper Road 3. Easy & Online transparent process of government related matters 4. Uninterrupted electricity are the factors which will differentiate Smart city vs normal cities.
Today water is sold at high price. 50% of roads are occupied by parking for commercial shops & offices. government related matters are mostly done offline and with no transperancy. Electricity is not sufficient with growing needs
