Corporation of Chennai is preparing a proposal towards Smart City Challenge which would include city wide smart urban solutions as well as identification of areas within the city for its implementation.

The proposal would be defined primarily based on voice of Chennai residents. An extensive citizen engagement programme is established by Corporation of Chennai to document the views and concernsfor the same.

Residents may post their opinion and ideas on civic services such as transport, parking, water supply, sanitation, energy, housing, IT solutions,health, education, safety and security. Your views, opinion and solutions on urban issues faced by Chennai would not only support a better tomorrow for Chennaites, it will also make Chennai a strong contender for getting shortlisted as one of the first 20 cities in India to implement Smart City Solutions in Phase 1.

Chennai citizen and community is its biggest strength. Let’s participate to make this proposal inclusive and meaningful for every common man, every citizen.

we need to design smartly for basic rental housing, property rights, secondary markets, financing and public goods that allow new migrants to enter the urban ecosystem. As one group makes its way up the ladder, a new round of migrants takes its place.

we need to design for a constant flow of people who enter the city and want to climb the social and economic ladder. This means that urban poverty must not be seen as a static problem but a flow. This has very important implications for how we provide housing, employment, education and public amenities for the poor.

One ingredient of a city’s success is its ability to take along all sections of society. This is particularly true of a large emerging economy like India where the urban landscape will have to absorb hundreds of millions of migrants from rural areas over the next couple of decades.

Today, is it possible to live without medicine ? Smart way to live in a city. It has been PROVED by Zero Therapy (non-commercial) which was founded in Chennai, India. There are about 10,000 followers who have been living without medicine for the last 10 years. If they can do that then why not others ? This means we would need less number of hospitals. It can help the masses. Equally use for the poor and rich but specially helpful for the poor who anyway don't have the money for medicine.

Talent Building -------------------- Our state always stand first or second in India on any front. give a facelift to kids/youth career improvements. rather than organising a college level recruitment drive, go for a single window employment office recruitment drive. so that the more knowledged youth will get the right job than betting by colleges's name. focus on socialised talent building, enforce kids to perform on stage and organise industry visit for youth with professionals.
