Transport – Strict enforcement of traffic violators through CCTVs
Ensure that CCTV cameras work in all traffic junctions and use the footage from the signals as evidence to fine tourists. This is being done successfully in Bengaluru and will generate lots of revenue for the Police and also improve compliance.

Transport - Unified transport authority for buses, trains, metro and small bus. Smart card to be used across all these transport. Stop duplication of routes between buses and trains (currently 21G runs from Tambaram to Parrys while the suburban train also runs from Tambaram to Parrys which is faster).. the buses should be a feeder and not a competitor

Transport - Bus Rapid transit system on OMR as a pilot and then extend it to other parts of the city. The OMR Bus Rapid System should start from near Tidel Park Railway station so that people can get off the MRTS station and switch to these buses. In peak hours, there should be one bus every minute from Tidel Park to Siruseri. This will take a lot of cars off the OMR

Transport - GPS tracking for MTC buses
Please install GPS on all MTC buses and expose the GPS feeds for people to build apps. Apps built using this data would enable people to track the buses and encourage more people to use public transport which is the hallmark of a smart city

Rain Water harvesting in roads and pavements
In Chennai city which always has shortage of water, more money is spent on storm water drains to carry precious rain water to the sea rather than money spent on rain water harvesting. The Government should designs pavements and roads to harvest rain water and reduce the spend on storm water drains

App to report electricity thefts
In several localities in Chennai, illegal tapping of power from the junction boxes happens during temple festivals and political rallies. The Junction boxes should be designed in such a way that they are theft proof. Also create an app for people to proactively report such violations
