As a citizen of India, I find the idea of making Chennai into a Smart City exciting. However from the perspective of a startup working on Smart Parking Solutions, the lack of focus on parking problems in Smart Cities is worrying. There are numerous parking products that can help make parking a seamless experience for users and make our cities sustainable.
Our company, ParkZap aggregates parking lot info and enables e-payments at existing parkings. Find more details at www.parkzap.com

Please clamp down on use of loudspeakers and make Chennai less noisy and more civilized. The biggest offenders in this regard are religious places which play on sentiments of people. There is an existing Supreme Court judgement preventing usage of loudspeakers in residential areas and therefore doing this should not be difficult.

Urban poor children voices: (M.Rubesh, M.Rajkumar and M.Navin Zora) - Korukkupettai, Auduthotti
1. We want the smart city to be built with the point of view of children –the city usually built for able-bodied working male is not suitable for us.
2. All schools in smart city must have playground and good library.
3. We want the smart city with park and play grounds.
4. We want the smart city with the safe road for children
This is our dream for chennai city.
