Vision of smart cities should be an ecologically healthy city.
Eco-Cities are places where people can live healthier and economically productive lives while reducing their impact on the environment. It work to harmonize existing policies with their natural resources and environmental assets. Eco-Cities strive to engage all citizens in collaborative and transparent decision making, while while being mindful of social equity concerns.

10.Teaching the citizens to segregate the garbage will make the biogas plants a success.
11.Storm water drains are clogged because of the garbage, which has to be cleaned before rainy season. The main problem is because of the people throwing garbage all over the roads, fine has to be imposed and they have to be punished -like cleaning the street for one week. This will surely stop the people from throwing the garbage all over.

Plant more trees,make Chennai greener.
At all road junctions, where 3or4roads meet provide small"Island"of bushes in the centre with traffic signals.
Venders ,shop keepers should not occupy footpaths.,pedestrians must be able to walk freely instead of coming down to roads to walk risking their lives.
Two wheelers are parked haphazardly on both sides of the roads, m asking the roads smaller, preventing smooth flow of traffic. This must be prevented.
Provide more of zebra crossing at busy road

4.Unification of various transportation must be done swiftly.
5.Public transportation must be improved and developed in a very rapid scale. Metro rail must cover the greater chennai also. OMR must definitely have metro rail facility which will reduce the usage of 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers to a great extent thereby reducing the carbon foot print.
