Android apps at local ward level. These apps should allow citizens of the wards to submit issues, which the councillors/chairman should be able to access and act immediately. The final approval of "completed" to be electronically signed by the citizen. This would generate a record of complaints and resolutions for the government. If issue is not marked as "completed" within 30-45 days of complaint then the issue should be escalated to Mayor/Corporation Commissioner's access. level for action.

Cheap digital sensors including utility firms’ smart-meters, parking and traffic monitors, and of course the smartphone-carrying citizen-as-a-sensor, collect input data.

The blind and visually impaired are too often cut off from their peers and forced to spend huge amounts of time getting around cities. To facilitate mobility for the visually impaired, we need to place posts that communicate with users through mobile apps. These tools promise to transform lives, saving the visually impaired hours of travel per day and allowing them greater self-sufficiency.
